Crate Audio announced the CSX Series of mixers at the Winter NAMM show. Although the CSX Series offers a versatile feature set, they are still intuitive and easy to use.
Each channel has balanced XLR, 1/4" line in and insert jacks, and includes individual Gain controls, Pad switch and Peak LEDs. The EQ section has Hi, Hi Mid, Low Mid and Low for each channel to make these mixers flexible and easy to use. Also included are four auxes per channel with two labeled for aux and two for effects.
In addition, each channel features Pan, PFL and 100 mm Faders for maximum control and versatility. The last two channels on the CSX8 and the last 4 channels on the CSX12 and CSX16 perform dual function with both mic and stereo 1/4" inputs. The Crate CSX Mixers truly provide the perfect mix of functionality and form.
The CSX Master section includes a wide array of patching and level options for Aux 1 - 4, a wide variety of metering options, selectable input voltage, Tape In and Out level, and a switchable BNC light. All faders are 100mm rather than 60mm as on many boards in the same class.
The CSX Mixers feature toroid transformers for efficient size and weight, individual channel card designs, a wrist rest and extruded aluminum end blocks for light weight comfortable performance.
