P Series Added to Crate's Collection of Enclosures

The P Series of speaker enclosures was announced at this year's Winter NAMM show. Each of the speakers in the P Series is equipped with a Piezoelectric driver coupled with a long-throw horn, and a high-efficiency Crate Audio driver for bass response. They feature an R/C network protection circuit, which protects the high-frequency component from voltage spikes and potential damage. The large 4" x 10" horn has a 60° x 40° dispersion pattern.
These enclosures are specifically designed for vocal applications, light pre-recorded or acoustic music, and have flat frequency response in the vocal range with little coloration of the sound. The trapezoid cabinets are manufactured using a high-density composite for minimum low frequency loss, feature integrated handles and dual 1/4" jacks, and are covered in a durable black carpet material. They also include an integrated 1.39" stand mount for use with standard speaker stands.
The P10 and P12 feature an integrated cup handle and the P15 has a single bar handle in the rear of the unit, which perfectly balances the woofer magnet during transport. The metal corners and heavy-duty 18 gauge steel hex pattern grille provide superior protection to the components and the enclosure between performances.
The P Series enclosures are compact, lightweight and have much better sound than other speakers in their price category. They have been specifically designed to meet Crate Audio standards including extensive time-alignment and TEF testing.
