Crate Continues to Expand Enclosure Line with PSM Series

The PSM Series are new from Crate for 2002. These moisture-resistant enclosures are manufactured from a high-impact injection molded polymer to provide years of rugged use and transport under grueling conditions. Each of the full-range PSM speakers also include threaded fly points on the top, bottom and sides (PSM12 & 15), any one of which will support over 10 times the weight of the enclosure!
The speakers in the PSM series feature a large Titanium driver coupled with an integrated long-throw horn. A massive, Crate cast-frame audio driver with a dual-vented magnet structure provides intense power handling and extremely tight bass response. The PSM10 has a 1.5" Titanium driver and the PSM12 and PSM15 have a 2" Titanium driver.
Every full-range PSM enclosure features a semi-active component protection circuit, which is isolated from the sound chamber. In the protection circuit, the full-range PSM enclosures utilize a twin Darlington style semi-conductor design. This unique circuit design provides outstanding component protection at extremely high audio levels and very smooth response.
The integrated horn features a 60° x 90° dispersion pattern for extremely broad coverage and balanced sound in all venues including outdoor performances.
These high-impact enclosures are injection-molded using a high-density polymer composite for minimum low frequency loss. They feature a single 1/4" and two Nuetrik-style locking jacks, an integrated handle and an integrated 1.39" stand mount with a threaded safety stay for secure use with standard speaker stands.
The PSM enclosures have molded cups and feet for stacking, and the full-range cabinet design allows for use as a floor monitor. The heavy-duty 18 gauge metal hex pattern grille provides superior protection to the components and the enclosure between performances.
The PSM Series enclosures are the most transportable high-power enclosures in the Crate Audio line. They have been specifically designed to meet Crate Audio standards including extensive time-alignment and TEF testing.
