CreamWare has announced the immediate availability of three new sophisticated plug-ins for their proprietary DSP platform.

The OptiMaster includes all the tools you need for mastering. It combines a normalizer, multiband expander, multiband compressor and multiband limiter into a single very capable unit. A Wizard function can analyze the audio signal and set the important parameters automatically to their optimal values.

A full list of additional functions simplify operation enormously and practically guarantee outstanding-sounding results. For example: soft clipping for simulation of analog tape saturation, a finely adjustable digital ceiling for "brick-wall" limiting and the Auto Make-Up function which automatically delivers the maximum possible loudness.

Thanks to a multitude of intelligent features, a clear and intuitive user interface and the utmost in sound quality, the OptiMaster enables you to create professional sounding productions with enormous penetrating power and volume in the wink of an eye.

PSY Q is a powerful but easy to use tool for sound optimization. Behind the straightforward surface lurks a professional psychoacoustic equalizer with an integrated stereo expander, a bass compressor and a SoftClip unit. The components are finely tuned to one another and function as an "intelligent" ensemble: that is, the PSY Q continually analyzes the incoming signal and reacts to it by performing complex phase and frequency response manipulations.

The result: the sound material is altered in a way which is pleasing for the human ear: bass tones are given additional impact and loudness, high frequencies have increased shimmer and "airiness" and the complete mix becomes more transparent and defined.

This set of capabilities makes the PSY Q well suited for adding the final polish to the complete mix during mastering; for the refinement of vocals through the addition of velvety, warm overtones; for the creation of massive, broad sound layers; or for freshening up old recordings. The processor is valuable in live situations as well, where it can be used to improve the intelligibility of speech recordings and increase the penetrating power of individual instruments.

The Vocodizer is one of the most flexible, high-performance vocoders ever to have been created. Its freely-configurable filter bank enables it to emulate virtually any of the hardware or software vocoders which are currently in vogue. The volume and pan position of each of its 22 filters can be adjusted individually, and each filter is freely switchable within the routing matrix. Either the powerful internal synthesizer with its 128 waveforms and 24 dB/octave filter or any desired external signal source can be used as the synthesis signal.

Whether you're generating robotic voices, modifying human voices beyond all recognizability, turning a solo vocal into a chorus or rhythmizing layer sounds - the Vocodizer's abundance of features makes it the ideal tool. Loads of creative possibilities combined with simplicity of use and outstanding sound make the Vocodizer one of the most interesting vocoders available anywhere, at any price.

The DSP plug-ins OptiMaster, PSY Q and Vocodizer are now available in the CreamWare Online Shop and at authorized CreamWare dealers.

List prices are:

  • OptiMaster: 249 EUR (approx. 228 US$)
  • PSY Q: 198 EUR (approx. 180 US$)
  • Vocodizer: 149 EUR (approx. 136 US$)
