January 17, 2002

DigiTech, a division of Harman International, announces the introduction of their new GNX3 Guitar Workstation. By combining an 8-track digital recorder, a built-in drum machine, and a rugged floor-based GENETX multi-modeling processor, the GNX3 becomes the perfect workstation for the creative guitarist. In addition to DigiTech's award-winning GENETX amp multi-modeling, the GNX3 includes distortion stomp box modeling, Whammy', JamMan II' delay looper, Talker', Learn-A-Lick' phrase trainer, 44.1kHz sampling rate, advanced CIT Cabinet Imaging Technology, pickup simulator, and an extensive list of other studio-quality effects. Hardware features include guitar and XLR mic inputs, analog and S/PDIF digital outputs, full MIDI implementation, 24-bit A/D/A converters, and a built in expression pedal.

The built-in 8-track digital recorder really sets the GNX3 apart from other guitar processors. With up to 6 track minutes of on-board recording time (expandable through the rear panel Smart Media slot), the GNX3 is designed to help get your ideas down quickly and conveniently. Features such as bass amp models, mic input, and the built-in drum machine make the GNX3 your complete recording solution. Recorded tracks can be imported directly in any .wav-based computer recording software via an optional Smart Media card reader. The optional FS300 can also be used to remotely control recording functions. And finally, the GNX3 comes complete with GenEdit editor/librarian computer software for both PC and Mac.

"At last, a guitarist has a complete set of creative tools in a floor processor." Says Rob Urry, President of Harman Music Group. "The GNX3 is perfect for recording songs, catching those inspired riffs, or for rhythm tracks for solo artists, duos, and trios".
