ESI Introduces Hardware/Software Package for DJs January 28, 2002
The 2002 Winter NAMM show brought the debut of ESI'a D-Vinyl 2020, an answer for DJ's who need the flexibility of a state of the art digital system but also demand the artistic control that only working with a real turntable can offer. D-Vinyl puts real time control back into the hands of the DJ. The D-Vinyl system utilizes two real live turntables as controllers, offering a realism that competing systems can't compare with. Once again the subtle artistry of the master DJ can shine through.
D-Vinyl 2020 is a full featured piece of hardware and a software package that can be run from your laptop. D-Vinyl features direct MP3 decoding, real time cueing and scratching, speed control, pitch control, and instantaneous reverse directional ability. Pitch control allows you to raise or lower pitch as much as 100%. Built in effects include an onboard flanger and reverb along with a chop device and a frequency generator. The beat counter can be set to three different modes including auto, manual, and pre-count for maximum versatility.
The ESI D-Vinyl system is priced at $1199 and is slated to begin deliveries in March 2002. For more information, visit their web site at www.esi-pro.com. |
