WaMi Rack 192L Added to ESI's 192 Series January 28, 2002
ESI announced the addition of the WaMi Rack 192L to its 192 Series. Like its predecessors, this new interface is based on the designs of EGO SYS' original WaMi Rack, but with advanced audio capabilities to meet the needs of DVD-Audio production within the PC recording environment.
Housed in a single-rackspace unit the WaMi Rack 192L ($499) is a 4-in/8-out device featuring 24-bit/96kHz A/D converters and 24-bit/192kHz D/A converters with over 100 dB dynamic range and connects to your computer via a half-length PCI card. Features include four studio-quality discrete XLR mic preamp inputs with 48VDC phantom power, headphone output with independent level control, built-in MIDI interface, optical and coaxial S/PDIF connectors, and offers support for Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS ES 6.1, and 7.1 surround sound formats.
The WaMi Rack 192L supports ESI's E-WDM driver for compatibility with Windows XP, 2000, ME, and 98SE offering low-latency performance with digital audio applications such as Nuendo, Cubase, Gigastudio, Cakewalk, Sonar and Logic.
