SxA250 Added to EV's Line of Powered Loudspeakers
January 25, 2002
EV (Electro-Voice) announced the SxA250 loudspeaker, the newest addition to its line of powered loudspeakers, at this year's Winter NAMM.
The SxA250 is a 15-inch two-way self-contained sound system with mixable mic and line inputs, 2-band EQ, line output and separate 350-watt dynamic LF amp and 150-watt dynamic HF amp. The SxA250 works great as a self-contained vocal system, a powered floor monitor, and a full-range music system or can be combined with the SxA180 powered 18-inch woofer system.
The SxA250's enclosure is made of seven-ply plywood and weighs only 49 pounds. The SxA250 has a built-in stand mount adaptor, can be used as a floor monitor and can also be hung safely using our optional SxAkit. The SxAkit comes complete with a piece of L-track, an insert for the pull-up point on the rear of the enclosure and two single-stud Ancra fittings. The SxA250 has handles on the top and the side so that it can be easily transported horizontally or vertically.
In addition, the SxA250 has concert-proven EV components including the famous DH2010a pure titanium compression driver and DL15BFH cast frame15-inch woofer. Its 80-degree x 55-degree CD horn has tighter coverage than typical systems but can still project a large, wide sound. The SxA250 also features EV's Ring Mode Decoupling (RMD) technology.
With the SxA100 12-inch two-way, the SxA250 15-inch two-way and the SxA180 18-inch woofer system, EV has powered speakers with excellent performance, unbelievable flexibility and untouchable value.
The list price for the SxA250 is $1,098 and $100 for the SxAkit suspension kit.
