January 17, 2002Fender Musical Instruments Corporation is welcoming the newest addition to its award winning Cyber
Series of amplifiers, the Cyber-Deluxe. Debuting at this winter's NAMM show in Anaheim, this new amplifier looks to continue the
success of its ground breaking predecessor by offering up even more tonal possibilities for today's guitar players.
Explains Shane Nicholas, marketing manager for Fender amplifiers, "The Cyber-Twin has been a real success story for us over the past
year. It's earned praise from both consumers and industry press, and it's found its way into the arsenals of quite a few top professional
musicians, so it's only natural that we would look to create a full family of Cyber Series products."
Adds Nicholas, "The Cyber-Deluxe is the first addition to the line, and it's the perfect amplifier for guitarists who want the tonal verstility of
our Cyber-Twin, but who are looking for the best of its features in a 1x12 configuration."
The Cyber-Deluxe is a 65 Watt combo amplifier featuring one 12" Celestion G12T-100 speaker, 64 digital presets, a complete palette of DSP
effects, mono and stereo patching capabilities, MIDI and a digital tuner. As with all of the amplifiers in the Cyber Series, the Cyber-Deluxe
utilizes Fender's patented Virtual Tone Interpolation circuitry. By internally reconfiguring the basic signal building blocks and tone stacks
of whichever preset amplifier is selected, this patented technology offers superb real amplifier tone.
The Cyber-Deluxe features 16 amplifier presets in its "Amp Collection" and another 16 presets in the amplifier "Custom Shop". In addition,
there are 32 user re-writable presets for a total of 64 presets that serving as flexible starting points and that let the guitar player explore
virtually limitless tonal possibilities.
The all-analog preamp in the Cyber-Deluxe internally configures and places itself either before or after the tone controls to create
the feel and tone of such classic and modern amplifiers as the Fender Tweed sound of the '59 Bassman, the storied Fender Blackface tones,
as well as modern Fender amps and British stacks, among many others.
The DSP effects are also placed before or after the distortion to create an accurate signal path. Effects such as Touch Wah are placed
pre-distortion, and effects such as Delay and Chorus are placed post-distortion.
The Cyber-Deluxe's Mono operation can be expanded to Stereo, simply by plugging the Expander output into any other guitar amplifier. The
Cyber-Deluxe also allows you to match volume levels with its Expander Level Control, which brings the full potential of stereo effects like
Vibratone and Panning Delay.
A four-button Quick Access preset footswitch comes with the new Cyber-Deluxe. Dimensions are as follows: Height 18.5"; Width 23";
Depth 11 3/16"; and Weight 45 lbs. US MSRP is $999.99
