PRESS RELEASE

Fender Introduces Reggie Hamilton Signature Jazz Bass

January 17, 2002

Fender's Custom Shop pays homage to one of the industry's most prolific bass players this year with the introduction of it new signature model, the Reggie Hamilton Jazz Bass. Available in both four and five sting versions, the new Hamilton Jazz Bass will be the latest addition to Fender's arsenal of high end, cutting edge bass products to be unveiled at Fender's booth at the Anaheim NAMM show in January.

Part of Los Angeles' elite list of studio and touring musicians, Reggie's bass playing is in constant demand by the likes of Stanley Clarke, Madonna, Seal, Baby Face and Christina Aguillera, to name just a few. After converting his '85 Fender Squier Jazz Bass 4-string into a 5-string in 1987, Reggie was hooked and has played Fender whenever the job calls for electric bass.

In honor of his diverse work throughout the music and film industry, Fender's Custom Shop is proud to have worked with Reggie in creating these new four and five string signature models. Built to Reggie's specifications, both models offer the latest technology in active/passive electronics.
