"If our original Soundgears could be categorized as serious basses for the studio player, our new SRX basses are were designed for the barroom brawler," remarked Ritchie Umemura of Hoshino USA's Ibanez Bass Division. "These basses have powerful passive pickups with exposed pole pieces and easy-to-operate 2-band EQ's. Soundgear Xtreme basses were designed for loud, heavy rock and they do it extremely well." Soungear Xtreme basses are available in standard, professional and deluxe versions (which include neck thru models.)
