Logic Audio to Utilize TC PowerCore January 26, 2002
Over the past couple of years, Emagic have started many initiatives to help users recreate the whole studio environment based
around their computer -- from the implementation of VST-support in Logic to the brand-new Logic Control hardware control
surface.
The TC PowerCore DSP card has been adopted quickly by many demanding Logic users to run high-end PowerCore Plug-Ins
such as Reverb and mastering-"Finalizing". Now, Emagic will turn Logic Platinum into an even more powerful system by
developing PowerCore versions for the most demanding of the over 50 included native Logic Plug-Ins. Utilizing TC
PowerCore's vast DSP power will free up precious CPU resources for other native tasks, providing the user with even more
possibilities.
"We are truly excited about Emagic's intention to develop for TC PowerCore" says Ralf Schluenzen, CEO of TC WORKS.
"They are the first major sequencer company willing to go the extra-mile for their users regarding such a hybrid processing
solution. As we already have a lot of joint users, the ability to run Logic Plug-Ins on the card has been strongly requested. So
it's great news for our Logic users, that they will be able to get even more power out of a combined system in the future!"
"The wide selection of available Plug-Ins makes a native music production system especially attractive. In cases where the
processing power provided by modern computers is not sufficient for a user, the TC PowerCore is an interesting addition for
more DSP-Power" says Sven Junge, President and CEO of Emagic. "That's why we plan to take the best of the more than 50
high-end Plug-Ins already included with Logic Platinum 5 and make them available as a special collection for the TC
PowerCore."
Delivery of the Logic PowerCore Collection is planned for summer 2002
