Alvarez Announces Three New Artist Series Guitars

Alvarez Guitars has announced the addition of three new models to their cost-cutting Alvarez Artist series of guitars.

The Alvarez AF60S ($399.00 list) folk-sized guitar is now offered with a solid spruce top matched to mahogany sides and back with a natural gloss finish. The bound mahogany neck features a rosewood fingerboard with white pearl inlay at the 12th fret position and on the headstock.

The Alvarez AC60S ($389.00 list) classical guitar features a solid cedar top matched to a mahogany back and sides with black multi-layer binding. The mahogany neck features a rosewood fingerboard with gold plated tuning machines. A traditional style rosette adorns the soundhole.

The Alvarez AC60SC ($599.00 list) classical guitar shares the same features as the Alvarez AC60S with the addition of a rounded cutaway and the Alvarez System 600T onboard preamp system for amplification.

The Alvarez System 600T preamp system was designed to offer the finest acoustic guitar tone reproduction available. The System 600T provides a broad range of sonic control and mixing capability allowing the player to utilize different combinations of piezo, magnetic, microphone transducers, and features the convenience of an on-board digital chromatic tuner.

The Alvarez Artist series of guitars provides players the opportunity to step up to instruments utilizing more musical and full sounding solid wood tops, a feature commonly associated with instruments in a higher price range.
