With the new ULTRAMATCH PRO SRC2496 (price tba), BEHRINGER introduces an updated version of its ULTRAMATCH SRC2000. Like its predecessor, the new ULTRAMATCH enables professional users to transfer digital audio signals between devices with different sample rates, formats or interfaces, disable SCMS for 1:1 digital copies and remove dropouts or jitter from digital media. Simultaneously operable outputs offer splitter functionality. Next to full 24-bit/96-kHz compatibility, the new unit features full A/D and D/A conversion. The ULTRAMATCH PRO SRC2496 facilitates format conversion between AES/EBU and S/PDIF with both coaxial and optical connectors, as well as conversion of 30 kHz to 100 kHz sample rates into 32 kHz, 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz, 88.2 kHz or 96 kHz with selectable 16-, 20- or 24-bit output resolution. Universal sample rate synchronization via wordclock or digital input is guaranteed, and parallel A/D and D/A conversion is possible with identical sample rates. The SRC2496 also enables easy jitter removal correction of unstable, off-tune sample rates. In addition, the unit allows direct manipulation of emphasis and copy-protection bits. On the connection side, RCA, XLR and optical outputs are simultaneously operational with selectable AES/EBU or S/PDIF formats, while inputs are separately selectable.
