Crate Amplifiers has announced the V-Series line of all tube guitar amplifiers with the added touch of modern technology. The Crate V1512 ($525.99 list) is a class A single channel 15 watt combo guitar amplifier with tube driven spring reverb, utilizing a V-Series 12" speaker in an open back cabinet. Featuring an all tube preamp consisting of three 12AX7 tubes and powered by two EL84 power tubes, the V1512 is the perfect amplifier for the studio, rehearsal, or small club setting. Full of warm vintage tone, clean and sparkling at low volumes, or hot with plenty of sustain at higher volumes. The Crate VFX5112 ($999.00 list) is a class AB two channel 50 watt combo amplifier utilizing one V-Series 12" speaker in an open back cabinet with the addition of digital effects, on board. Fifteen of the most useable digital effects, incorporating delay, reverb, flange, chorusing and speaker rotation are built into the amplifier and can be instantly accessed by means of the two button footswitch that also enables the player to switch between the two channels. Featuring four 12AX7 preamp tubes and powered by two EL34 tubes, the warm sounding amplifier balances well with the digital effects that are built onboard. The Crate VFX5212 ($1099.00 list) utilizes two V-Series 12" speakers in an open back cabinet and shares features as the VFX5112. The two V-Series 12" speakers give the VFX212 a more low end and more dispersion and headroom before speaker break-up. For more information, visit their web site at http://www.crateamps.com.
