New 24-Bit USB Audio Interface from ESI

ESI has announced the arrival of the Waveterminal U24, a 24-bit USB audio interface with on board sample rate conversion.

The very portable (3.5" x 3.5") Waveterminal U24 features high quality 24-bit stereo analog to digital and digital to analog converters, 2 unbalanced analog inputs and outputs, S/PIDF digital coaxial and optical I/O, and an internal digital mixer for input monitoring. The U24 is also a real time sample rate converter and supports 32kHz, 44.1 kHz and 48kHz sample rates.

The U24 is compatible with Windows 98SE, ME, 2000, and XP along with Apple Sound Manager and MAC ASIO. The ESI Waveterminal U24 priced at $299 and is slated to begin deliveries in March 2002.
