Jackson Guitars (AMIC) announced that the new MG Series DK27 is available for shipment. The DK27 has Jackson exclusive EMG HZ pickups made specifically for Jackson guitars with non-exposed pole pieces for a cleaner, cooler look than the normal EMG HZ pickups. "The DK27 uses a longer 27" scale so you can tune down to a low belch (B or A) and still keep the same feel you'd have in a 25.5" scale guitar tuned to E." according to Kevin Easton, Marketing Director of Jackson/Charvel Guitar Company. "A lot of our players tune down to sub-sonic range and when you do that on some guitars the strings will lose their tension and just flap in the breeze. With a longer scale you get that terrifying tone and still have tension on the string so it doesn't feel like your playing with wet spaghetti. And we added the 20db boost of the EMG TurboCharger so the guitar is hot enough to melt glass." The list price/MSRP of the Jackson Guitars DK27 is: $799.00 DXMG 6-String Guitar Features
Available colors: Black, Black Forest, Cobalt Blue For more information, visit their web site at http://www.jacksonguitars.com/.
