Cubase VST Updated to Version 5.1

Steinberg presents the new Cubase VST 5.1 for Windows and Mac. Cubase VST 5.1 offers a digital recording engine with scalable recording modes up to 32-bit floating-point resolution on 128 channels of audio in the top-of-the-line Cubase VST/32 version. Cubase VST 5.1 sets the standard for computer based music production in the new millennium.

The new Cubase VST 5.1 offers a new and complete studio environment with a full complement of features including: New VST instruments, new virtual effect processors, and optimized program code for AMD Athlon, Pentium III and Pentium IV with Microsoft Windows and Altivec enhancement for Apple Macintosh G3 and G4 computers.

3 new VST Instruments:

• JX16 – 16-voice synthesizer with two oscillators
• LM-7 – new 24-bit drum machine with three sound sets: Compressor, 909 and Percussion
• CS-40 – 6-voice software synthesizer

11 new VST Effect Processors:

• Autopole – An Insert filter/envelope generator with four different waveforms
• BitCrusher – Adds edge and character by selectively reducing the bit depth
• DaTube – Valve simulator
• MidiComb – Comb filter with real-time MIDI control
• MidiGate – MIDI-controlled gate – "chop your audio into grooves"
• Vocoder – Creates machine-like voices
• Rotary – Classic rotor speaker effect for organ-like chorus sounds
• Mysterizer – Multi-FX plug-in with optical "parameter pad" which controls several effects at once.
• Contains 8 different effects.
• PhatSync – A pattern-controlled multimode filter for rhythmic and pulsating filter effects
• SubBass – Adds bass to the input signal
• RingModulator – Generates complex, bell-like enharmonic sounds.
