(Click for a close-up)

dbx announced the release of the 274 Quad Gate. This product uses new gate circuitry to overcome the performance limitations associated with traditional quad gates.

The 274 has four independent channels of user selectable gating. Each channel of the 274 has an assignable input filter that can be used to make the gate more responsive to certain frequencies. The noise gate features threshold and hold control that allows the user to set the level at which the gate starts affecting the gain. Additionally, the gate employs controls for depth and release, switched radio control, input and a stereo slave switch. The level of user control combined with the clear and intuitive layout for rapid setup makes it a great addition to any project studio.

The Quad Gate is a part of the new dbx Project 1 series that take advantage of the latest technology to provide high quality at an affordable price.
