Celestion Launches New Range of BL Neo Speakers

Three new ultra-lightweight Neodymium bass speakers add a new dimension to the bottom end

Celestion announced the new BL range of bass speakers at Winter NAMM. The BL range of consists of the BL10-100 Neo (10", 100 Watts), BL10-150 Neo (10", 150 Watts), and BL15-400 Neo (15", 400 Watts).

Incorporating the latest in Celestion's loudspeaker technology, all BL bass speakers feature a Neodymium magnet structure with extremely low weight (1/3rd the weight of its nearest conventional equivalent), fast transient response and clarity.

The BL10-100 Neo is a 10", 100 Watt, ultra-lightweight (1.47kg/3.24lbs) bass speaker using a 2" voice coil, has a frequency range of 75-6000 Hz, sensitivity of 98dB, and a nominal impedance of 8 Ohms. The BL10-150 Neo is a 10", 150 Watt lightweight (1.58kg/3.48lbs) bass speaker also using a 2" voice coil, has a frequency range of 75-6000 Hz, sensitivity of 99dB, and a nominal impedance of 8 Ohms. Both the BL10-100 Neo and BL10-150 Neo employ a pressed steel chassis and use a Kevlar loaded paper cone for added long-term performance.

The BL15-400 Neo is a 15", 400 Watt bass speaker. Featuring a precision die-cast chassis for maximum strength and rigidity, the lightweight (4.1kg/9.03lbs) BL15-400 Neo has a 3" voice coil, a frequency range of 50-4000 Hz, sensitivity of 100dB, and a nominal impedance of 8 Ohms. In addition, the BL15-400 also employs a Kevlar loaded paper cone for extended performance.

These three new units are supported by a comprehensive range of traditional bass guitar speakers from Celestion that range from a 70 Watt 10" all the way up to a 400 Watt 15".
