Latest Ergodyne Basses Feature Triple Coil Pickups

For 2003, the ultra-modern Ibanez EDC takes another step beyond. Instead of the standard two humbucking pickups found on previous EDC models, the new EDC's feature a triple coil pickup with three settings--trad, bright and attack. This addition makes the ergonomic EDC capable of rapid and radical changes in tone.

The new Ergodyne basses will be featured in both 4 and 5-string models. The EDC710 4-string lists for $679.99; the EDC715 5-string lists for $749.99
EDC Key Features
- Ergonomically shaped Luthite body features built in thumb rest, a scooped out area to get under the strings, and a raised control area so you don't have to lean over to check settings
- Extra long horn balances the bass so you don't have to.
- Unique triple coil passive humbucking pickup with active EQ allows instantaneous tone changes--"trad" (double coil in series), "bright" (coil tapped), and "attack" (coil tapped with capacitor).
Luthite is a man-made material specifically formulated for electric stringed instruments. Ibanez has featured basses made of Luthite since the 1996 introduction of the Ergodyne EDB bass.
