At Winter NAMM, Paiste announced a complete overhaul of its value class lines. The change affects both product features and pricing.
Ongoing research and development into the enhancement of Paiste's automated manufacturing techniques resulted in a surface treatment that enhances the sound quality of cymbals. The company refers to the process as "Sonic Surface Texture". The new technique was applied to the entire value class program, resulting in the new 802 Plus, 502 Plus, 402 Plus and 302 Plus Series.
In a further move to enhance Paiste's competitive position in the hotly contested market for lower priced cymbals, Paiste is lowering the pricing of the value class program between 10% and 15%. The new lower prices paired with the sound improvement create an incredibly strong price/value relationship.
