Max 700

January 21, 2003

Peavey introduces three new, moderately priced, high powered bass amplifiers, the Max 700, Max 450 and Max 160.

The Max Series includes fully powered--and very powerful--bass heads for any player. From the 700 Watt model down to the 140 Watt model, these amps are great for rehearsal, stage or even outdoor gigs where you need extra volume.

These new Max Series bass amplifiers feature built-in DDT speaker protection circuitry, active three-band EQ with semi-parametric mid, contour control, pre- and post-EQ switch for XLR, tuner send/preamp output jacks and a buffered tuner output. The Max 700 and Max 450 models also include a footswitchable effects loop, and the Max 700 comes with an active crossover (100 Hz to 1 kHz) with balance control.

Peavey's DDT (Distortion Detection Technique) virtually eliminates power amp distortion, producing a much clearer sound than ordinary powered mixers. DDT also protects speakers from damage caused by distorted signals, ensuring years of trouble-free performance.
