January 20, 2003

Peavey introduces the new Supreme XL guitar amplifier head, Peavey's best value TransTube amplifier. This two-channel, 120 Watt head comes with a reversible faceplate for switching between a tribal design and a more conservative brushed aluminum facade. Now any player can afford a two-channel amp with all the features of a high-end boutique amp for under $500 MSRP.

To help customize the Supreme XL's tone, this amp features bottom, body and edge active EQ on the Lead channel, plus three-band passive EQ on the Clean channel. Players can also alter the three-position Lead channel voicing switch for British, modern and ultra sounds, and the Clean voicing switch for vintage, modern and crunch. A three-setting damping switch adjusts speaker resonance to create tight, medium and loose tones, from a precise, exacting sound to a huge, full sound. The Supreme XL's power level can be switched among 25, 50 and 120 Watts for a big, warm tone at low, medium and high levels.

Other features include digital reverb, master volume, two-button footswitch with effects loop and a jeweled pilot light.
