Peavey has announced three new amplifiers for the Triple XXX Series: the Triple XXX 112, Triple XXX Super 40 and Triple XXX Super 40 EFX.
Peavey's new Triple XXX combos are all-tube, high gain amplifiers. Underneath the striking, stylish silver and black cosmetics lie Crunch, Ultra and Clean tones, plus active EQ on the Crunch and Ultra channels. Every Triple XXX comes with chrome-plated 12" Triple XXX 30 speakers and an all-tube power amp for that genuine "push back" tube feel.
Another unique Peavey custom control feature is the Triple XXX's three-setting damping switch, which alters speaker resonance to create tight, medium and loose tones, from a precise, exacting sound to a huge, full sound. For extra sound control, Triple XXX amps can operate using either 6L6GC or EL34 power amp tubes.
Each of the Triple XXX 112's channels has its own independent three-band EQ for bottom, body and hair (low, mid, hi) on both the Crunch and Ultra channels, and bass, mid and treble on the Clean channel. The Crunch and Ultra channels each have their own gain and volume controls, while Clean features an independent volume control. On the Triple XXX Super 40 and Super 40 EFX, the Ultra channel includes bottom, body and edge EQ, while the Rhythm/Crunch channel includes bass, mid and treble EQ. Both have independent gain and volume controls.
The Triple XXX 112, Triple XXX Super 40 EFX and Triple XXX Super 40 will be available in 2003 from Authorized Peavey Dealers.
