Rolls Releases WPM61 Wireless Personal Monitor
January 17, 2003
Rolls' WPM61 Wireless Personal Monitor system consists of a transmitter with a 1/8" Tip-Ring-Sleeve input (stereo signals are mixed to mono) and belt-pack receiver with a 1/8" Tip-Ring-Sleeve output. The units operate in the high end of the VHF frequency spectrum and there are currently four operating frequencies available.
The system ships with a power supply and a 1/4" to 1/8" TRS adapter cable for the transmitter. A nine volt alkaline battery as well as 1/8" stereo earphones are required for receiver operation, they are not included. In addition to being powered by the included power adapter, the WPM61 transmitter may also be powered via nine volt alkaline battery.
The transmitter front panel contains the Power switch, Input Level control, Low Battery LED, Power LED, and Battery/AC Power selector switch.
The receiver has a Power LED indicator and back panel battery compartment. The receiver Volume control is located on the top of the unit along with the Output jack.
Careful design went into the WPM61 system with special attention paid to volume (there's plenty), as well as frequency response.
The WPM61 retails in the United States for $150.00, and the units are available now.
