AAX New Symphonic Adds Increased Articulation

AAX New Symphonic Medium Light
January 22, 2003

SABIAN has introduced AAX New Symphonic. These orchestral cymbal pairings in 18" and 20" Medium Light and Medium Heavy versions deliver definite articulation with a higher pitched sound for increased audibility in orchestral and band settings. This projection capability is reinforced by a thicker edge, which increases the contact area, boosts articulation and generates a higher more penetrating pitch. A large bell, which minimizes air lock and increases playability also maximizes performance accuracy by increasing structural rigidity and ensuring the shape of the cymbal remains true under the pressure of impact. Tone and overall ease of response are also enhanced by the large size of the bell and the fine, 'pin-lathed' tonal grooves. The resultant mid to high partials boost the brightness of the sound, for a full, shimmering response.

Commented SABIAN master product specialist Mark Love: "With AAX New Symphonic it is possible to play warmer tones and have a tremendous degree of projection without reverting to brighter, potentially harsher sounds. The 'Auto-Focus Response' of AAX - which ensures consistency of sound at all dynamics - combines with the design of this model to ensure a crisp response. AAX New Symphonic pairings are ideal for professionals or students. Not only do they sound great in any setting, they are extremely easy to play."

Filling the gap between the darker sounds of Hand Hammered, and the brighter, more aggressive AA, AAX New Symphonic produces a musical blend of warm and cool timbres. Available in Natural and Brilliant Finish, they are 'Sonically Matched' for optimum performance compatibility. These cymbals are protected by the SABIAN Two-Year Institutional Warranty.
