PowerCore, the DSP Plug-In platform for Mac and Windows, now embraces OS X with full AudioUnit and VST support.
TC Works has launched a Mac OS X driver for the PowerCore DSP card. This update also adds Apple AudioUnit Plug-In support and a further enhanced system performance. All users of Emagic's Logic Audio, Steinberg's Cubase SX or other applications with VST or AudioUnit Plug-In support can take advantage of the new OS X driver. A version for MOTU will follow later this spring.
PowerCore includes an ever growing stack of rackmount-quality processing plug-ins right out of the box. Version 1.7 (and 1.6.1 for OS9 and Windows) now includes 9 Plug-Ins, making the package more comprehensive than ever:
- MegaReverb, natural reverb's from TC's M5000 hardware processor
- ClassicVerb, musical reverbs simulating "classic" hi-end reverb
- MasterX3, the virtual TC Finalizer Multiband Mastering Processor
- EQSat, 5-Band Mastering EQ
- Vintage CL, "analogue" sounding compressor and limiter
- VoiceStrip, voice sound channel strip complete with vintage compression, deessing, Lo Cut EQ, Voice EQ, gate and SoftSat.
- 247/C Limiting Amplifier, virtual recreation of a classic Limiter
