PRESS RELEASE

New Wave Expansion Boards for Technics' SX-KN6000/6500/7000

January 22, 2003

Technics Musical Instruments announces the expansion of its sound library with two new wave expansion boards. Each expansion board features 16 MB of wave ROM. Offering a comprehensive variety of new sound capabilities, these expansion boards provide a word of creative options to Technics keyboard users when performing or composing. Both new boards are compatible with Technics keyboard models SX-KN7000, SX-KN6500 and SX-KN6000.

"Vintage Keyboards" (model SY-EW03NX) contains keyboard samples based on industry favorites of the '60's, '70's and '80's, with an emphasis on rare and distinct sounds such as analog synthesizer and rotary organ. "Vintage Keyboards" contains a total of 246 new sounds. When combined with the SX-KN7000's 1,236 sounds and 880 automatic rhythm patterns, this impressive collection will enrich and embellish any musical genre.

The "Super Sound Selection" (model SY-EW04NX) offers 186 sounds, including a variety of instruments, solo voices and vocal patterns. Technics' standard of quality and innovation is exemplified in these brilliant samples, which recreate the expressiveness of the studio musician and vocalist. This selection also features a compendium of other exciting, unique sounds: instruments ranging from rock guitar, acoustic harp, jazz sax, a variety of percussion sounds, and much more; plus dynamic effects to broaden the scope of any performance.

Technics "Vintage Keyboards" and "Super Sound Selection" wave expansion boards are available from Technics dealers nationwide.
