The Yamaha tradition of guitars continues with the Winter NAMM introduction of the CPX5 acoustic/electric. Similar in appearance to the CPX5, the CPX5S offers the Yamaha Compass silhouette, smooth neck action, and the addition of a solid Spruce top.
"Players in the market for an affordable acoustic electric product often have to compromise features," states Joseph Brasler, marketing manager, Yamaha Guitars. "That's not the case with the CPX5S. This model takes the Yamaha CPX design one step further for the discerning player by including, in addition to first-class workmanship, the tonal enhancements of a solid Spruce top."
The CPX5S also features a Rosewood neck and fingerboard, a Rosewood back and sides with a multi-body binding, die-cast chrome tuners and a one-way preamp with piezo bridge pickup. Currently available, the CPX5S includes the Yamaha Limited Lifetime Warranty and carries an MSRP of $799.99.
