eMedia Launches Piano & Keyboard Method Tutorial January 20, 2003
eMedia announced its new dual platform Windows/Macintosh eMedia Piano &
Keyboard Method CD-ROM. This is a software piano or keyboard method that teaches all the basic concepts from the very beginning and gradually leads you ahead step-by-step.
The instructor for the eMedia Piano & Keyboard Method is Irma Irene Justicia, who has a master's degree from Mannes College of Music in New York. In her many years of teaching, both privately and at music schools including the renowned Juilliard School of Music, Ms. Justicia has developed an original approach appropriate for all age groups. Right from the start, students learn sight-reading, creating accompaniments, and transposition - all the skills needed for independent music exploration. The over 250 lessons include videos to demonstrate techniques and review screens to help reinforce the musical concepts taught. The method is song-based with over 100 songs, which helps makes learning fun and rewarding, in the tradition of all eMedia's educational software. In addition to high-quality live recordings, the method has colorful variable-speed MIDI accompaniments to make practicing more exciting and allow students to adjust the speed to their skill level.
eMedia Music's new custom interactive technology enables Piano & Keyboard Method to point out mistakes the student makes while playing, as a piano teacher would. The interactivity and integrated multimedia lessons combine to create a clear and easy-to-use method.
eMedia Piano & Keyboard Method is scheduled to ship in Q1 of 2003 and will be available at computer and music retail stores nationwide for an estimated street price of $59.95. The CD-ROM will be a hybrid for both Windows and Macintosh platforms.
