Two New Drum Packs Feature Audix's D6 Kick Drum Mic

Audix Corporation introduced two new drum packages to their line up of drum mic packs. Both packs include the recently introduced D6 kick drum microphone and can be used for live and studio applications. The DP5 is a five-piece kit which includes 1-D1 for snare, 2-D2 for rack toms, 1-D4 for floor tom, and 1-D6 for kick drum. Also included are 4 D-vice tension rim mount clips and aluminum carrying case. The DP5, which consists of over $1,500 worth of microphones at individual retail prices, has a MSRP of $1,149. The DP-Elite, a premium seven-piece assortment for a 5-piece kit, is the ultimate professional drum miking package. In addition to all the mics contained in the DP5 pack, the DP-Elite also includes the SCX1-hc condenser for high-hat, and 2- SCX1-c condensers for overheads.
