January 21, 2003

With the ULTRA-DI DI20, BEHRINGER presents an active 2-channel DI-box/splitter for feeding signals directly from an unbalanced high-impedance output–typically guitar and bass–into a mixing console or recording system. The DI20 features a wide frequency range from 10 Hz to 160 kHz, ultra-high 100 dBu noise ratio, switchable input attenuation, a ground lift switch and 18 to 48 V phantom or 9 V battery power supply option. The revolutionary price of US $24.50 MSRP makes for a split decision. The ULTRA-DI DI20 converts 2 separate 1/4" mono jack inputs into 2 balanced XLR outputs, while 2-channel or link mode facilitates flexible usage as a 2-channel mono or stereo box. Additional channel 1 splitting to 2 balanced XLR connectors plus 1 unbalanced 1/4" jack connector is provided. The unit's switchable input attenuation in 3 ranges facilitates input levels of up to +48 dBu, while the ultra-high input resistance of more than 250 kOhm makes connection of a wide range of gear easy.
