"When Carvin first approached me about playing one of their basses in the early 90's I was, quite frankly, leary of the idea. I had been playing my old favorites for years and didn't think I could ever be happy with something different. Then I realized this might be a chance to actually do a little designing of my own... but it's important to me that you know exactly what it is I play, so here are the specs: LB20 four string (passive electronics) One Knob (controls volume only) Two H50N Stacked Humbucking Pickups (again, both controlled by the one volume) TN (Tung oil finish back of neck), NIN No inlays on top of fingerboard (side dots only) Of course, Carvin is prepared to offer a variety of options, but for my tastes, the simpler the better. Finally, I should tell you that Carvin has gone out of their way to duplicate my number one bass by meticuloulsy measuring every aspect of it from top to bottom. This is to insure that, should you choose one of these signature instruments, you will be getting the real thing. Enjoy, Timothy B. Schmit " Features:
