Diamond Burst Finish Offered for Pearl's Masters Series

New for 2003 is an all new finsh for Pearl's Masters Series: Diamond Burst. A metallic silver with a subtle black fade covered with a hi-gloss lacquer finish. Masters series drums are now equipped with Stainless Steel tension rods that are extremely strong and durable, don't rust, and don't need to be plated. This is very important because the tension rods can be machined precisely to the final diameter for perfect fit, smooth action, and accurate tuning. Regular steel tension rods need to be plated which requires that the threads be cut deeper and filled by layers of chrome to acheive the final diameter. Unfortunately, the chroming process is not 100% precise therefore plated tension rods are often undersized resulting in less than perfect fit.
