Sabian Introduces HHX New Symphonic Cymbals

January 21, 2003

HHX New Symphonic Viennese

SABIAN has introduced HHX New Symphonic to its catalog of hand cymbals. Available in three popular weights - French (light), Viennese (medium), and Germanic (heavy) – in 18" and 20" sizes, these pairings respond with tonally rich and musical sounds boosted by warm and dark low-to-mid partials.

The French models respond readily at even the lowest volumes, with shimmering sounds enriched with traditional tone. The Viennese blend rich, musical tone with more direct projection and enhanced sustain. The thick and heavy Germanic pairings respond with increased impact and volume, for a more direct and louder response with extended sustain.

Commented SABIAN master product specialist Mark Love: "HHX combines the warm, traditional tone of our Hand Hammered series with a degree of mid-range 'bite' that increases the projection effectiveness of these pairings. There is a simmering darkness within the voice of HHX New Symphonic that is unique to these cymbals. It's an effective enhancement that adds 'edge' to the warm musicality that makes these cymbals so universally suited to playing virtually any repertoire."

HHX New Symphonic cymbals are hand crafted from SABIAN's secret-process B20 bronze. They are available in Natural Finish, and they are quality protected by the SABIAN Two-Year Warranty.
