Tama To Offer Only 100 Starclassic Exotix III Limited Edition Kits

Tama presented its third Starclassic Exotix drum set at the Winter 2003 Anaheim NAMM show. Named "Midnight Storm," for its gloss black finish, the limited edition 7 pc kits feature shells with an outer ply of rare African Quilted Sapele wood and eight inner plies of select African Bubinga rosewood. Each drum is fitted with brushed black nickel-plated hardware and is inlaid with genuine abalone. Commented Tama's Products Specialist Hunter Herman, one of the first players to preview the kit in the U.S.: "This kit's intrinsic character is very dark and mysterious. However, it also has incredibly high overtones and enormously deep sounds hidden within the shells. The more you play and explore the kit, the more these wonderful musical expressions are revealed and come alive!" Starclassic Exotix III sets are exclusively 7 pc kits and are limited to just 100 sets worldwide. Each kit is numbered (in the bass drum) and includes a certificate of authenticity.
