Last year, TerraTec Electronic introduced the EWS MIC8 and EWS MIC2 audio systems, featuring eight balanced high-quality line and microphone inputs and eight balanced outputs. The systems also provides 48V phantom powering and a low-cut filter on each channel, ADAT interface, 24-bit S/PDIF, 2 MIDI Ports, WordClock I/O, and free routing of all sources. The new "Plus" versions also include the EWS88 PCI card with 4 meter connection cable, the analog I/O between a PC and the rack-mount unit, plus S/PDIF I/O. The EWS MIC8 AudioSystem offers a variety of additional technical treats. On top of that, it delivers audio quality that has never been available at this price. For example, the 8-channel microphone preamp has been developed in close cooperation with SPL (SoundPerformanceLab) Germany. Besides direct operation via TerraTec EWS88 PCI card, the EWS MIC8 AudioSystem can also be used as a stand-alone system. To name only a few of its functions as examples: a microphone preamplifier and/or as 24-bit/96-kHz AD/DA converter in connection with ADAT devices or cards. Based on the MIC8 19" module, the AudioSystem EWS MIC2 offers all of the features of its "big sister" also including 8 balanced analog inputs and outputs but with two rather than eight independent microphone preamps. There are four different products available: EWS MIC 2, EWS MIC 8, EWS MIC 2+ (including PCI Card) and EWS MIC 8+ (including PCI card): Key features MIC8/MIC2
