Together with Roland, Cakewalk is producing new versions of their SoundStage and fx Reverb plug-ins for use with Roland's VS series of hard disk recording units.
Cakewalk SoundStage allows you to design the perfect acoustic
environments for your audio, resulting in unique reverbs -
control the wall positions and heights, then place microphones and
performers anywhere in the room.
SoundStage offers two different views: Performer's View and Room View.
Room view
- Define sizes and positions for ceiling, floor, and up to seven walls.
- Select unique room characteristics like sound absorption, trapping and high-frequency damping.
- Place microphones and select microphone patterns, proximity adjustments, and separation distance.
Performer's view
- Position performers anywhere in room
- Tailor EQ response curves for each performer
- Assign audio tracks to individual performers
- Hear audio match the performers' room position and proximity to microphones.
The Cakewalk Sonitus fx:reverb features high- and low-frequency cutoff for
filtering the input signal, parameters for controlling the room size,
width of stereo image, echo diffusion, decay time, high-frequency
damping, early reflections and more.
