At the 2004 Winter NAMM show, Edirol unveiled the V-1 Video Mixer, a product that opens the door of video mixing to a much wider range of consumers -- especially the musician or music teacher adding visual elements to performances and recitals.
The V-1 offers four S-Video/Composite inputs, MIDI I/O (V-Link), S-Video output & 2 composite outputs -- switchable to NTSC or PAL. It offers nine types of effects including 4 types of transitions, 4 Picture-in-Picture locations as well as black luminance keying for superimposing text over another video input. The V-1 features two separate frame synchronizers that enable stable, smooth and noiseless video cuts and transitions.
The V-1 being V-Link compatible allows performers to mix and switch video inputs while performing via the MIDI input.
The V-1 lists for $1075 and will be available in March.
