Epiphone's new basses combine classic features with modern design and are named them after Epi's top-of-the-line solidbody bass from the 1960s - the Embassy. A 34-inch scale and 4-on-a-side tuner configuration harken back to the years when the original Embassy was made in the Gibson factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The new Embassy's contoured double-cutaway body with extended horns ensures the perfect balance and playing comfort that modern bass players expect from a high-quality instrument.

All of the Embassy basses have a contoured body, Thunderbird-style headstock with straight string-pull, and a single split-coil pickup. Additional features:

  • Embassy Special-IV: 4-string; laminated body; 22 frets; chrome-plated hardware; covered machine heads; Alpine White, Blue, Ebony or Red finish. MSRP: $299.
  • Embassy Standard IV: 4-string; solid Ash body; 24 frets; die-cast machine heads; black hardware; Natural, Trans Black, Trans Blue or WL finish. MSRP: $415
  • Embassy Standard V: 5-string. MSRP: $499.
