Epiphone revives the prestige of its 1930s guitars with the new Masterbilt Acoustic Series. The new flat-top guitars feature solid-wood construction and a distinctive 1930s-style "offset notch" peghead shape, with historic Epiphone script logo and mother-of-pearl "stickpin" inlay.

The collection encompasses steel-string fingerstyle models, round- and square-shouldered dreadnoughts, and a nylon-string series, all made with hand-selected woods including Sitka spruce, rosewood, maple and mahogany.

"With the original Masterbilt line of 1931, Epiphone challenged Gibson for supremacy in the guitar world, and the ensuing battle brought out the best in both companies," says Henry Juszkiewicz, chairman and CEO of Gibson, Epiphone's parent company. "The new Masterbilt line symbolizes the quest for perfection that still drives Epiphone today."

The beautiful grain of the Masterbilt woods is enhanced with a natural satin or vintage-style shaded finish. The dreadnought and fingerstyle models have full-body abalone binding, tapered dovetail neck joints and are available with an L.R. Baggs pickup. An embroidered hard-sided gigbag is included. MSRPs range from $831-$1,498.
