AmpliTube Now Available in Audio Unit and VST Formats for OS X

IK Multimedia announced that
AmpliTube guitar amp and effects modeling plug-in for Audio Units and VST for
MacOS X will be available by the end of January 2004. This completes the wide
platform availability of this plug-in bringing the total number of platforms
supported to 11 (HTDM, RTAS, VST, Dxi and AU in Windows, MacOS 9 and MacOS X)
all from the same box.

AmpliTube is comprised of 3 multi-functional modules: Amp module, Stomp-Boxes module
and Post FX module. In the Amp Module, the user can freely combine 7 different Pre-Amp
models, 5 EQ models, 4 Power Amp models, 9 Cabinet models and 2 Mic models in order to
precisely craft any amp sounds ranging from the emulation of the most acclaimed modern
and vintage amps plus being able to built completely new original hybrid set ups with
combinations of any of these individual components and settings producing a
total of 1,260 different amp configurations.
The AmpliTube Amp module has been designed using sophisticated modeling techniques,
based on sought after vintage and modern amps. Microphone modeling (condenser/dynamic), position and
distance is also included to offer even more accurate emulation of a professional amp
recording set up. Plus the Amp module also includes a Tremolo and Spring Reverb, as you
would expect to find in a typical amp head.
The Stomp-boxes module offers the emulation of 5 effects including Wah-Wah, Delay,
Chorus, Flanger and Overdrive modeled on acclaimed classic guitar effects.
The Post FX module includes 3 stereo post-effects with 3 band parametric Equalizer, Stereo
Delay and Stereo Reverb, bringing the number of different effects included in AmpliTube
to 10.
Price and availability
AmpliTube for Audio Units and VST OSX will be available at $399MSRP, by the end of
January 2004.
Users that bought AmpliTube after 1st April 2003 will be able to download it for free from
the user area on www.amplitube.com. Users that have purchased it previously can upgrade for $79 price online.
