Ibanez Announces First Full and Semi-Acoustic Artcore Guitars AXD81VLS (Click for a close-up) January 15, 2004 Ibanez debuted new the first Artcore full- and semi-acoustic axes at the Winter NAMM show. The AXD71 and deluxe AXD81 combine the comfortable size of a rock and roll solid-body with semi-acoustic sound and sustain. The AXD71 lists for $399.99; the AXD81 lists for $479.99 The AXF74 offers the complex tones of a true full hollow body in a super-compact size. Ibanez points out that the design is unique, "with a size and playability you won't find anywhere else" and that, like all Ibanez full-acoustics, the guitar is a true full-hollow axe. "There's no soundblock in the body as you'll find with some guitars that claim to be full-acoustic." The AXF74 lists for $399.99.
