Ibanez announced its most powerful bass amp to date at the Winter NAMM Show in Anaheim California. "The new Sound Wave SW100 features 100 watts at 8 ohms, "commented John Lomas of Ibanez Electronics in Bensalem, PA. "If you add the optional SW155 extension cabinet, you've got a full 145 watts at 4 ohms. In addition, you've got the kind of pro tone control needed by the working player."
The Ibanez SW100 Sound Wave 100-watt bass amp features a 15" speaker and a piezo tweeter (with on/off switch) housed in a kickback closed-back cabinet. The list price is $469.99.
The Ibanez SW155 Sound Wave extension cabinet features a 15"speaker with piezo tweeter (also with on/off switch) in a closed-back cabinet. The list price is $334.99.
