PRESS RELEASE

New Rotor EXP Guitar from Peavey

(Click for a close-up)
January 16, 2004

Peavey Electronics has introduced the Rotor, a high-output, modern metal guitar combining a retro, angular body.

The Rotor is constructed using mahogany for the body and neck and an ebony fretboard for a velvet feel with smooth attack, which is eased by its smooth, no-heel, neck-through-body construction. Peavey's Dual-Compression Bridge system, a string-through design creating a metal-to-metal connection, provides singing sustain and stronger string presence.

Two extra-hot Peavey humbucking pickups give the Rotor its metal tone, with a ceramic magnet design for powerful ouput and biting edge. In addition, the Rotor features a six-in-line headstock; 24 jumbo frets; deep inset jack; two volume knobs; one tone knob; and a three-way, toggle-style pickup selector. Also standard on the Rotor is a custom pau shell binding that tracks around the entire body, neck and headstock, black satin hardware and custom, hollowed tuning keys.
