Roland announced the Micro Cube at NAMM, the smallest member of the Cube family. Weighing in at just 7.5 pounds, this compact guitar amp packs a big punch and comes with six DSP effects, COSM Amp Modeling and a new Digital Tuning Fork--giving guitarists an amp with a choice of battery or AC power.

The Micro Cube comes with a 5-inch/2-watt low magnetic leakage speaker and is the first Cube amplifier that can run on batteries. Using six "AA" alkaline batteries, guitarists can play for up to 20 hours. A carrying strap is also included, giving players total freedom to play on the go.

Onboard effects include seven COSM guitar amp models from classic to modern and a special mic preamp, plus six DSP effects: chorus, flanger, phaser, tremolo and a separate Delay/Reverb processor. The Digital Tuning Fork feature lets players tune up easily with support for flat tunings up to two semitones.

Connections include a standard 1/4-inch Guitar input, plus a choice of 1/4-inch and 1/8-inch stereo Auxiliary inputs--perfect for connecting a CD player or line-level source. There's also a Recording/Headphones output for private listening or connection to recording devices and more.

MSRP: $149
