PRESS RELEASE

HD 650 Headphones from Sennheiser

January 16, 2004New at NAMM is Sennheiser's ultimate in high-end headphones, the all-new HD 650.

Based on the overall design of the HD 600, the dynamic open air HD 650 combines a flat frequency response (10-39,500Hz/-10dB) with natural dynamics and uncolored sound. The biggest difference comes in the new model's enhanced bass response - a performance advantage that discerning users have long sought after. What's more, the HD 650 includes an upgraded cable and reduced distortion in the high frequencies, making it ideal for editing and mastering applications, as well as for home audiophile use.

HD 650 features include:

  • Hand-selected, matched transducers with tight tolerances (+/1 dB)
  • Computer-optimized magnet systems for minimizing harmonic and intermodulation distortion
  • Extremely lightweight aluminum voice coils ensure accuracy and fast transient response
  • Neodymium ferrous magnet systems for high efficiency
  • Specially developed acoustic silk provides uniform damping over its entire frequency range and minimizes intermodulation and harmonic distortion
  • Extremely natural, spatial sound image
  • Balanced, crisp bass and deep bass reproduction
  • Specially developed OFC copper cable, Kevlar-reinforced, eliminates handling noise
  • Gold-plated 1/4-inch jack plug with adapter lead to 3.5 mm jack plug
  • Two-year warranty
