At this year's Winter NAMM show, Steinberg Media Technologies announced a new integrated music production system: Cubase System|4. This new system is the first in a series of products in the new Steinberg Media Solutions range and marries Steinberg's Cubase SL 2.0 sequencer with its new MI4 USB audio interface at one low price.
Cubase System|4 provides a full virtual music production studio in the shape of Cubase SL 2.0, the company's renowned music production software. Cubase SL offers Steinberg's latest VST 2.3 audio engine, full latency compensation, a customizable mixer featuring FX return channels, professional automation and a range of VST effects and instruments.
Engineered and built in Germany, the new MI4 USB audio/MIDI hardware offers: 4 inputs and outputs, Hi-Z instrument input, quality microphone preamps with selectable 48v phantom power, 16-channel MIDI interface, S/PDIF digital I/O, effects inserts and much more.
Cubase System|4 is the first in a new range of media production solutions, with other new products planned in for release later in 2004.
Cubase System|4 is priced at $899.99 US MSRP and will ship mid February 2004.
