New from TC Electronic is the PowerCore Element, the latest addition to the PowerCore line of virtual processing solutions for the Mac and PC. Compatible with any Audio Units- or VST-compatible host application, PowerCore Element brings performance and flexibility to the native recording environment, while taking the strain off the host CPU. Five discrete processors and nine TC-quality effects in a PCI-configuration combine to provide a powerful processing package at a price of $645 MSRP. The product will ship next month.
Effects included in PowerCore Element right out of the box: TC-quality reverbs, a complete vocal processing channel, de-essing, smooth chorus/delay, mastering EQ, vintage compression, a virtual analog synthesizer and even the new Tubifex guitar amp simulator. The optional plug-ins that are available for the PowerCore PCI and FireWire configurations are also available for PowerCore Element.
